The St. James Lutheran Church Food Pantry is operated under the umbrella of Churches United of the Quad Cities. Our mission is to provide emergency food to families in need who reside in our assigned food pantry service zone - from the West side of 18th Street all the West to the Bettendorf border, from the Mississippi River to the North between the East-West borders. With that being said, we will never turn anyone away but will provide them with the provided food and necessities and provide them with the location of the food pantry that is closest to thier residence according to the Churches United's food pantry service zones.
Visitors are provided with a pre-packed box of food items, along with milk, eggs, and protein. Visitors can swap out items if allergic or not needed.
We encourage people to schedule their visits every 30 days. If 30 days is unattainable, then we suggest a visit can be made every 14 days. Visitors are allowed to return every week for bread and fresh vegetables that may be available.
Wednesdays: 6 PM to 8 PM
Thursdays: 9 AM to 11 AM
If the Wednesday or Thursday falls on a major holiday, the pantry will be closed.
